- Conduct bullet/projectile trajectory examinations to determine angle and/or point of origin.
- Conduct microscopic and chemical examinations on clothing for range of fire determinations.
- Conduct tool mark examinations, shoe and tire print/impression examinations, physical matching, and serial number
restorations.
- Conduct examinations of and collect physical evidence from scenes of crimes involving firearms related criminal and civil
investigations.
- Have testified in over 350 criminal and/or civil trials, hearings, inquests, and depositions.
- Qualified as an expert in the areas of Firearm Operability, Firearm Identification, Ballistics, Tool Mark Identification,
Gunshot Residue Analysis, Shoe/Tire Print Identification, Bullet Trajectory Analysis, and Serial Number Restoration in the state
and federal courts of Kentucky and Indiana.
- Instructor at the Kentucky State Police Academy giving instruction in the care and preservation of firearm, gunshot residue,
tool mark, and shoe/tire print evidence. Give instruction in the processing and collection of evidence from scenes of crimes.
